When to test - accuracy

Question

This is probably a silly question, but I'm confused! Help would be appreciated!
The HPT box advertises how accurate it is for 4 days before your period is due. But people can have different length cycles from ovulation to AF. 
So is it best to go by a certain dpo, or by days before period is due?

The most accurate would be one day after your missed period. But you can test early as four days before your missed period. So keep in mind it says missed period which is one day after your period was due. So it would be three days before your period is due. If you have a normal 14 lp then your days past ov would be 14 dpo is the day your period is suppose to show. Try to wait but I know that's easier said than done. I'm currently 4 days till my period and have g a hard time not testing. Good luck and I hope you get your bfp!!
