What is it like to actually be pregnant?

I am ttc and have never been pregnant before. I have been reading up on different symptoms and signs of pregnancy, but they are all so general and closely related to PMS. I asked my mom yesterday if she ever knew she was pregnant (before taking a test or missing her period) and she said she never had any idea until one of those two things happened. Can anyone who is currently pregnant or has been pregnant before explain if there was anything out of normal that instantly made you know you were pregnant? Or is it pretty much as unnoticeable as having nothing but PMS symptoms?

I knew before it would even show on a test. My nipples hurt so bad even looking at them hurt lol, nauseous, headaches, heartburn, cramps and then my favorite two were overactive saliva glands(I was spitting constantly) where my mouth would fill so fast I couldn't swallow it all and then lumpy throat when you get that ball In the back of your throat after you puke alot....I couldn't even look at an avocado without gagging. I was a miserable prego lady, but everyone is different and all pregnancies can be different. Birth control makes me sick so I based what I would go thru off that....

I didn't notice anything different until I tested. My breasts hurt a lot, but I wasn't sure if that was due to pms because I'd only been having my period a few months after 6 years on Mirena. My cervix was low so I thought af was on the way, but then I tested positive.

I knew that I was pregnant with my first child before I took a pregnancy test.  My biggest symptom was when I tried to smoke a cigarette I almost threw up. And my boobs felt 10 times heavier than normal. I took a test later that day and it was positive. Then I stopped smoking.

With my first pregnancy, I had no symptoms that I noticed. But I have now been pregnant 4 times. (3 babies) and with each pregnancy, the symptoms gets more intense. Once you have been pregnant before, u know what to look for. And your body picks up on them sooner. But if u have never been pregnant before, you may not have any symptoms and u wouldn't know what it feels like if u did. A lot of people don't have symptoms their first pregnancy. It wasn't until my third and fourth and pregnancy that I felt the symptoms around the same time a pregnancy test showed positive. My symptoms were tingly breasts (but u would only know what this feels like if u have been pregnant before or breastfed) I would get really tired, and I wasn't as hungry as usual. When your pregnant, your digestive slows down, which means when u eat, it takes a lot longer to digest which makes u not as hungry (in early pregnancy)
