So I recently connected with this guy on pof and he's just so awesome, I was so nervous around him that I barely brought myself to speak 😖 .. idk what to do or how to act around him. I'm not good at starting over .

So out of curiosity and needing advice, can someone please tell me what it was like when they met their S/O?

I met my bf on Okcupid. I was super nervous so i tell to talk ALOT about the most random stuff and i laugh every 2 seconds. And my bf couldn't look me in the eye or sit next to me. He would look past me when he was talking to me and he'd sit across the room. It was like that the whole time he was over at my house. I thought i ruined it or he didnt like me. Until he got home and asked me out on our first date. And i just got more comfortable the more time i spent with him. It still took him over 2 months of dating to be able to look at my face when he talks to me lol

I met my S/O in college. We were friends at first, then friends with benefits, then dated and now 7 years later are engaged and pregnant. I think you know when you find your best friend.

I've learned now it's pretty rare to find someone who you can be completely comfortable with, share all your secrets with, spend all your time together and not want to kill each other  (well most of the time 😏).

I met my husband on Meetme. I had just been dumped by my on again/off again boyfriend of 2 years and wasn't looking for anything at all. It had only been 13 days so I was wanting to flirt a little before my ex would inevitably hit me up to get back together(which he did up until my wedding day😂). 
But when my SO messaged me I knew in the pit of my stomach that he was going to be really special. We hung out for the first time 3 days later and I knew I'd marry him the second he left. We had only hugged goodbye but there was so much chemistry. Something about him that clicked. He was different from the type of guy I had decided I wanted but when I met him I felt like I was complete. It sounds SUPER corny saying that but it's true. Our personalities compliment each other very well. We got engaged a year later and have now been married for a year and a half and have a 4 month old little boy :)

When you meet your SO it could be an instantaneous "oh this is the one" moment or it could take a while to grow. Just go with the flow is my advice. He could need longer for his feelings to really grow or to be confident in how connected he feels with you. Just have fun in your new relationship, it may be the last new one you have :)

I had been in two prior relationships and had always heard the old saying, when you know you know. I thought it was bs until I met my honey online. He was unlike anyone I'd ever met - I think he is the most amazing person ever, and I have a mind/body/soul connection I've never felt. The minute I read his profile, I felt a pull towards him. The day we started texting he completely blew everyone I'd ever loved or was talking to out of the water. He is perfect for me and gets me in ways I've never felt. We have a mutual respect, work ethic, open and honest communication, sense of humor, and loyalty to one another and our future that I didn't even know was possible.

On our first date I looked at him and thought to myself that he is going to be a wonderful hubby for me. We have some differences but we also are 600% on compromising so we both win.

So, IMO when you meet the one, there is no question about it. It feels so right and he feels perfect for me.

well, I met my husband when I was 13 and I fell in love than.when we reconnected again I knew I was supposed to be with him. I loved his smile, laugh, his attitude, he is such a gentleman. yes he has his flaws we fight...but that's life. I felt like my world was torn when he wasn't around me. that's how I knew!

I met my husband while going through school for f-18 super hornets and he was in my class. My first interaction with him was during pt he ran with me to keep me motivated then he invited me and my other friend for beers so we hung out. Then he invited us out again one weekend and we just clicked. We started hanging just us watching game of thrones and I knew that was it.
