The best time to go for 4D ultrasound?

I had a 4D ultrasound at 16 weeks.  The baby looked like a skinny alien lol.

I wanna book another but it costs £80.00 so I'd like to go when the baby looks like a healthy baby so I can get some really good pics!

When's the best time in weeks to go? I'm 24 weeks now.

I was told 26-28 weeks. So the baby's face would have enough fats, but still quite small so you can see the face. My midwife told be that beyond 30 weeks sometimes there's not much space and oftentimes the face is covered by the baby's hands.

I was told 29 to 32 weeks. These two pictures were from 29w3d.

When I had mine at 14 weeks to find out the baby's sex, the ultrasound tech told me that the best time for another one would be around 30 weeks. That's when they gain some fat and get a little cuter :)

I've booked one for 28 weeks, my placenta is anterior and have been told you need to book before 28/29 weeks in that case as baby is then big enough to hide behind the placenta 😊 xx

I get the 3D ones and today I get to see my boy again at 28w. This is what he looked like at 24w 3D you can clearly see what he looks like! I think 28w would be a good time!

This was my munchkin yesterday at 24 weeks. My dr just shows us the baby in 3D starting at 20 weeks. I'm sure they'll get clearer as I get further along.
