Gender?

When is the doctor able to decipher what gender the babies are? I'm having identical triplets, and it's killing me not knowing which names I get to use!!!

I am having twin girls and I got genetic screening done via blood test called materniT at 13 weeks. Came back showing no Y chromosomes present so we found out then they were both girls. Confirmed on every ultrasound since, still girls lol. Congrats!

My OB starts trying at 16 weeks, but he said they won't tell me definitively until they are sure.

My ob office won't try to determine it until at least 18 weeks. The staff said they used to give guesses with a percentage of how confident they felt before the 18-week mark and people would be livid if it turned out to not be true. My sister's ob office will start checking as early as 16 weeks. My brother and his wife had an early scan and gender reveal party based on it only to see on a scan months later it had been wrong. I try to be patient and hope that by waiting I'll have an accurate result.
