I just discussed this with my bf today lol. When we first started going out 2 years ago & I found out he watched porn, I was upset. It took me a while to understand that masturbating is a natural thing, and that most of the time he needs to watch porn as a visual. He tells me that porn doesn't make him horny, it's just that he was horny in the first place & needs a visual. The one thing I told him that I'm concerned with was porn being more important than me, & he said if it was, he wouldn't be with me right now. Today, he called me saying how he found an old porn video that he used to watch when he first started masturbating at 13 & how he's been looking for it for 6 years and that it was the night of all nights. I got so pissed bc he made it seem like him masturbating to that video today was the best thing ever. But he explained to me that he just wanted to tell me that was the video where he gets all his moves from, & that he promised himself that he would do them on the girl he has sex with (me) one day. I realized that although he does have favorite videos to watch, he doesn't watch them because he gets horny off them, it's just a visual. He watches them for their techniques, not initially because he thinks the girl is hot. I know I struggled (& still do a little) this idea, but you have to remember that you're the real deal. Porn is fake. And he's not going to want a porn star as a wife.  You're real, you're not fake, and you're someone he loves and wants to be with.
