checked to see if dilated?

Question

When you got your strep b swab did your doctor check to see if you were dilated? 
Or have you been checked to see if you were dilated yet? If so how many weeks were you?

Got checked for dilation and than strep b swab at my 35weeks appointment

I was 36 weeks and he did the GSB and I asked him if he would check me because I was curious. Turns out I was 70% effaced and 1cm dilated. I was glad to know haha. I will probably ask him to check me every week from here on out and hoping to get my membranes stripped towards the end as well.

I got checked in the hospital at 35+5 and I got my GBS swab at 36+2 yesterday and they checked me again.

I got checked at my last appointment 35 weeks because my baby is very low and iI was contracting. The midwife wanted to see if my cervix dialates anymore and if it was a sogn labor was coming. She predicts I will go in early  so she doesn't want to keep messing with my cervix.
