Nature vs nurture regarding pitbulls.

So i see tons of posts saying that when pitbull attacks happen its 100% all on the owner and how they are raised. Then there are those that argue that its the nature of a pitbull to be aggressive and that you can be the best owner and do everything right and theyl still have a tendency to snap. I have never owned a pit only owned smaller dogs and beagles. My grandmother had a golden retriever/German Shepherd mix that i loved but anyways i really have no experience on the breed. I see these debates on fb all the time. I have to admit becuz of all the negative media attention on pits ive been very cautious around them. Thoughts?
