Nausea + work... how are you dealing?

Question

I am curious to know how you ladies are handling work and nausea in this first trimester. Taking time off, working from home, something else? I have been too sick to go into the office. My gag reflex alone would get their heads spinning quick, lol. Wishing you all luck!

Have you tried using Sea Bands?? They are typically used for motion sickness but also used for morning sickness. I had really bad nausea to the point I could barely get out of bed. They were really cheap and worked wonders for me.

I left my job to get pregnant. I was too stressed so it didn't happen. Money is a huge worry but I honestly couldn't be working ATM. I wish I could and salute anyone who is managing to do that, but I have been SO ILL. I'm so fed up with being at home 😭 I'll but poor women dragging selves into work I really wish you all a lot of luck at this time. You're better women than me

I'm a teacher... I have to work. I start my day with peppermint tea day crackers. Helps settle my tummy

I'm usually okay around lunch time so I book all the guys out of the office until the afternoon. One of the perks of managing the schedule

I'm a district nurse so I'm out and about - it's only when I go back into the office when it hits me as its stuffy in there. Work are really supportive and put me on light duties and minimising seeing patients who smoke etc. I haven't had time off but there are times I have to go out for fresh air and take more breaks.

I've been working, but I wish I didn't have to (way too much stress on the daily and very long days). I haven't made it to work "on time" in three weeks. If I don't get sick from brushing my teeth, I'll get sick on the drive to work so just getting to work is hard. Also if I eat anything or snack while at work I get sick, so the only way I get to be productive at work is to avoid food at all cost. Which really isn't healthy and lemon water (just about the only liquid I can tolerate) doesn't provide that mini nutrients.

I've been taking a whole lot of FMLA. I have to otherwise I'd be throwing up at work and as a customer service rep, the last thing the customer on the phone wants to hear is that lol.

I skip lunch since I'm so nauseous and I find a corner to nap. I've also been sipping tea...no more than two cups a day, but English breakfast tea has been saving me! 
I also keep snacks like water crackers and nuts, nothing too strongly flavored, to keep nausea at bay.
Good luck! I'm 10 weeks and have been feeling awful for over a month now and I'm hoping it will be over soon.

Ive been working from home a ton. Thankfully my client load happens to be pretty low right now (I'm a social worker) so I only have to see one or two people a day and then can do the rest of my work from the couch
