When to put together toys

My Husband and I just received the baby Einstein jumper for our son due 2/17/18. My husband wants to put it together closer to the actual date he will be able to go in it. When is everyone else putting it together?

I'd put it together when the baby is actually able to use it.  Maybe when the baby is 5-6 months old.

We are due 02/09. We assembled everything Baby can use immediately just in the past week and a half. We are storing the high chair, in original box, for months later as an example.
