How long should you burp?

Sometimes I'll burp my LO for 20+ minutes and she still doesn't burp should I keep burping her till she does or does this mean she doesn't need to? Also can a baby burp while sleeping or should I wake her up every time?

With breastfed babies they won't burp much bc they don't get air feeding so I was to try try a little and if she doesn't burp then it's fine.

My baby rarely burps honestly. If I can't get him too I just try to keep him propped up for a while or he'll spit up but he's fine even if he doesn't burp. He farts a lot so I figure he's still getting the gas out 😂

If that much time goes by and my LO doesn't burp then I just let her be, but I ebf and I know that she doesn't intake a whole bunch of air, but then every now and again she burps like a drunk man lol

Try holding their head straight with one hand whilst swaying them from side to side (their side to side). I find my son burps much faster that way rather than tapping his back. Occasionally I'll lean him forward slightly too whilst swaying, if he's not burping. Hope that makes sense!
