Birth Control combination Pill

Hey guys! I've been with my boyfriend for about 2 and a half years and we were each others first. I recently got the birth control Trinessa about a month and a half ago. We have sex, but we always use a condom but I'm starting to think it's kinda pointless now that I'm on birth control. I read that Trinessa works after the first week and I read somewhere else it might take a month. I always take it at the exact time every day, my latest being three mins. I want to have sex without a condom as it's easy and will save me money but I'm scared to death of getting pregnant. Does anyone have any advice?
