When will you start buying stuff for baby?

I'm 7 weeks and I'm already buying stuff. My excuse is that it spreads out the cost. A friend told me that I should start stocking up on nappies at 12 weeks because we'll go through so many

Yea I have some stuff from a previous pregnancy this year sitting in the baby's closet just scared to start buying again in case something happens :/

Once 12 weeks hits.. I'll start looking into stuff then go crazy once I know the sex.

I've been buying diapers when they're on sale + coupons for at least a year.   Granted, I've gone to quite a few baby showers in that time that also ate through a bunch of them.   We bought a crib on black Friday.  I'll buy any big items or "consumables" (diapers, lotions, rash creme, etc) as I find them on sale but I'm hoping I'll have enough will power to avoid buying clothes but it's hard already! Lol!

I'm also a book worm so I have a bunch of children's books that I've been collecting over the last few years.
