IUD Strings?

Question

I haven't been able to find mine in 3 years. OB says the ultrasound said that it is positioned fine, but recently Ive been spotting and cramping and for the first two years, I never had a period or spotting. 
So between the stringa being impossible to reach and the recent spotting and cramping.. I'm a little concerned.

go get checked just to be sure! my IUD gave me cysts, maybe you have developed one or it burst? hopefully everything is alright :)

Go back in and see your ob if your worried! The spotting might just be some hormonal changes and the strings might've gone really soft so you can't feel them! I'm about to have one put in tomorrow! Lol so scared haha xx
