What are your opinions on women getting pregnant after 45?

My sister is a midwife and she told me that one of her patients is 49.
I was shocked really when she told me but i feel really happy for any pregnant woman!
What are your opinions?

I feel like that is a women's choice but I personally wouldn't want to be pregnant at that age.

If they're healthy and can afford the child and are full of love then why not.

I mean as long as you can be just as playful when they hit that running around stage why not?

49 is old - I won't lie - I just think of all the running around a parent has to do.

Sports, school activities, driving around, dropping off, etc .. Everything else in between! That takes a toll on someone who is 25-35, imagine 55 -60.

Wow, my mom is 39 and has kids ranging from 24yrs - 2 yrs old. (I'm 20.) and I can't imagine raising a baby in your late 40's. When I visit my moms house she is so exhausted from chasing my 2 yr old sister and my other 3 siblings that still live with her around. But a baby is a miracle and a blessing at any age 😊😊

My aunt had her first and only at 47. Hes 14 now. She loves him, of course, but she is and was exhausted.

My friends ex husbands mom had twins at almost 52... She unfortunately liked the idea of children but does not have the energy for them or want to make the effort. Her ex and her are in a stupor about why she had the children if she wasnt prepared and why shesbtreating them the way she is. Saying this ...its harder there may be higher risks but its a womans choice and many women that age really appreciate motherhood and this chance. I know id feel too old and battered to run after a 1 year old at almost 50 but if a woman is preoared go her. Persobally past 50  i think its too late at least for me for sure because i dont want a super high chance of not seeing my child grow up and become an adult and of having a low chance of meeting my grandchildren. Also not having the energy and so on of moms of pre teens and teens because a 70 year old most likely does not have the energy levels or a 30 year old...but as i said its anpersonal preferwncw and a big responsibility...those qho really want to and know they can kudos to them.

I wouldn't want to wait that long, but I can understand why some women would! I had a hard time finding "Mr. Right" and I didn't want to have a baby unless I was married. Also, some people really want kids but have problems getting pregnant... I know someone who got married a bit late in life, miscarried, then finally had a baby at 42. They are awesome parents!

My Mom Had Me At 42 &' My Teacher Had Her Son At 43 .

With my younger brother, my mom was 42, and my dad 45.

Now that he's 18, they are 59 and 62. My dad has major health issues, and recently my mom broke her hip and had screws out in and found out she had cancer. They are champs, and do everything they can for us kids, and all the grandchildren ❤️

Totally nothing against it but for me personally my kids will be grown up by then and my partner and i will be freeee lol. I wanted to have them youngish 😊
