Clipping Pacifier to Baby - OK?

Question

I remember reading somewhere that you shouldn't use pacifier clips to attach the paci to baby's clothes. I tried looking it up again to figure out why that is, as I stood in the store yesterday staring at a pack of pacifier wipes 36 wipes for $3.99! Is there really a reason not to use the clip, I couldn't find anything on it yesterday. Thanks!

I don't think they're supposed to sleep with the clips attached to the pacifiers. The string can be dangerous for babies. I think it's fine to use them when they're not sleeping, as long as they're supervised.

I have three kids and always used the clips with never an issue. I never knew there was a problem.

That being said, they will still find their way to the ground, they always do. I always keep an extra paci in my purse when we are out just in case he drops one and I wash it when we get home. Never ever invested in wipes for the paci.

If his paci hits the floor at home, I don't clean it off aside from normal cleaning like anything else. Our home is clear. Our floors are clean. We are a no shoe household, and I happen to think some germs are a good thing.

You shouldn't put babe down in a crib with it clipped to them but otherwise I see no problem with them. It makes it so we don't loose any haha. My daughter likes to hide hers cuz she knows I take them away when we're in the house unless she's not feeling well or is going to sleep. So she hides them and grabs them later lol. She's only 14 months too.

They say not to use them because there is a chocking hazard. Pretty much just watch your child while they are wearing it and don't let them sleep with it on and you'll be fine.

I read that it could cause a choking hazard..  I just make sure I firmly clip it inbthe mid belly range swaddle him and keep an eye on it. Seems to work just fine!

I've never used wipes or clips. My mom always sucked on binkies that fell (at home not outside) then gave them back to baby. Nothing ever happened to us so that's what I do with my baby too.
