Got Approved for our FIRST apartment!!
I just had to share because I'm damn excited!!!! Not having our own place has been one of the BIGGEST stresses in this pregnancy.
I was living with my dad and my son because I was going to school, and my then boyfriend now fiancée moved in with us because my dad didn't want me to stress out about trying to get a first apartment while attending school full-time. It was cramped and less than ideal, but it was free and we needed it! I planned on finishing school and getting a job right away with my new certification and license in Esthetics.
Well, that was the plan anyway. Until we found out we were pregnant in May. It changed everything. Not finishing school was most definitely not an option. And I knew I had to work immediately after school and save up for baby. Then there came the question of how will we save up for both a baby and a new apartment?
Things went downhill from there and I graduated school in September but wasn't able to get my state testing done for my license until October. By the time I finally got my license, I was VERY obviously pregnant. No one would hire me, it was hopeless.
I eventually was able to get a part time job helping at my grandparent's business. So grateful for their offer. More dumb luck, really. Someone at their office quit without notice and they needed an emergency filler-- me!
My Fiancée has been working hard and saving up. We haven't been able to qualify due to our family size and low income, as well as the fact that we aren't married yet.
It's been extremely difficult, but today our prayers have been answered!
I'm SO relieved. This is the best news ever. Now we can finally bring our baby girl back to a HOME. My children will have their own place. Just in time for the holidays!
I can FINALLY start nesting and preparing!!!
