I love the idea of using normally what would be boys names as a girl name (james, blake, carter) but my boyfriend & his family are very old fashioned and turn their noses up at it. What do y'all think?

I love it! I'm 38 weeks and we don't know the gender but if it's a girl it will likely have a unisex name. I love Charlie, Stevie, Joey, Rowan, and Luca.

I love it with certain names. Like carter is super cute but I wouldn't do James or Blake. Shane is another boy name used for girls I also find cute . It's all a matter of preference !

Its your child not theirs, i ask my moms opinion only but over all it is your decision your the one carrying the baby not them. I like carter, have you thought about Karter or even Karsen.
