I feel terrible...

Okay so me and my SO have this thing where on payday (today) he transfers all the money into my account for safe keeping (im the good one with money). Today he text me asking to transfer over £150. Which is fine. It went into an account that we both share that can only be used in shops and at a cash point. I unfortunately don't have mobile banking set up for this card and so there's no way of knowing if the money went in without going to a cash point. So I'm at my mums and my SO obviously saw this as a prime opportunity to get my Christmas presents. Only to find out the money hadn't gone in when he was trying to pay. He phoned me 7 times and left me messages but my phone was on charge upstairs. When I phoned him back I felt awful. Not because it was my fault,  it obviously just took longer to transfer than normal, but because he sounded so embarrassed and upset. I tried calming him down on the phone and he was fine after 10 minutes but he was just so embarrassed so I'm guessing it was a more expensive present! He's going back to get it tomorrow but I just feel terrible about it! Im sat with my mum and she's making me laugh but I can't help but feel sorry for him! I know the struggles of going to pay and getting declined and it's an awful feeling. Especially if you're shopping somewhere expensive or posh it's so much worse. He'll definitely be getting some good loving tomorrow! Just thought I'd share my story for today! X
