painful nip

My baby is 8 months old and going through her leap (help me Jesus 😩)...I started meds for mastitis on Monday and have also been taking probiotics bc I am beyond paranoid about thrush. I got mastitis (right boob/my good boob)in my baby's favorite boobie. Ever since, I have had a very sore nipple just on that side. No real signs of thrush, it just looks kinda raw I guess. It hurts like an SOB when she latches at first then it's ok but even after she's done I can feel the soreness still. My other nip doesn't hurt at all. Baby doesn't have any white stuff in her mouth, I'm wondering if she's about to cut a tooth? She has no teeth but it feels like she's gumming the crap out of my mastitis side and it hurts!!!! Is this normal or what is going on?!
