Days prior lol what? You couldn't conceive before having sex.

The general consensus is to have sex 2 days before nd the day before to have the sperm waiting inside the fallopian tube to meet the egg once it's popped out.   If you have sex the day of ovulation it is usually too late.   The sperm has to travel to the fallopian tube and if you have already ovulated then you missed your chance.   That's why the give you a week of a fertile window starting earlier then estimated ovulation day to help have the sperm ready and waiting for the egg.   They say the best day is two days before and the day before ovulation.   So,  as soon as you get a positive OPK,  start BD,  because you should ovulate within the next 12 to 36hrs,  with 36hrs being the usual.

You conceive within hours of ovulation. The sperm must be present while the egg is viable.

I conceived days after. According to my last day of my period I should be around 12 weeks, but my ultrasound shows 11 weeks :)
