Anyone on here have a twin birth story?

We are expecting twins mid-June (due 1st week of July) and I am excited about a natural birth and having a doula. I'm also excited that if the natural birth doesn't work and babies end up in a position that requires c-section, that my doctor is fine with the doula staying with us through it all.

Does anyone have any birth stories with twins or multiples?

My biggest fear is them going straight to nicu and not having immediate skin to skin or breastfeeding after birth.

I was a surrogate for twins a couple years ago.  I ended up having a c-section because of positioning.  Everything went well.  Both babies were healthy at 37 weeks and neither went to the NICU.  They went home the same day as I did.  Congratulations!

I am a twin, my mom carried to term, I actually think we were a few days late, and we were her 3rd pregnancy.  All natural and we were both over 6lbs, she's was a skinny minny. So it is possible, don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

I've got b/g twins. Firstly your in for a amazing time, and hard work. The birth bit is never going to be how you plan it unless you are extremely
 lucky! 
I had planed a natural birth, both twins were a good size for 37weeks and heads down, labour was not great and I had loads of complications. Having said that, the  c-section went well and I had a fast recovery .Unfortunately I never got skin on skin nor could I breast feed for the first week (medication I was given) but as all mothers will work out, you bond in different ways. Don't be down if you don't get your dream birth. 
It's the next steps that count!

Im in the same position right now as you are im having mono -di identical twin girls and i am 27 weeks and 2 days my doctor said that im going to have a c section around 36 weeks but im not sure im ok with this i want vaginal delivery but she does not listen to me at all what should i do

I'm a NICU nurse. While I know it's a huge fear, just know that should your baby or babies end up going right to the NICU you WILL get to do skin to skin as soon as they're medically able! Also, brrastfeeding as soon as you can is encouraged if they're old enough!

I had mine st Patrick's day at 23 weeks and 3days 
Caleb was born at 10:53 vaginally and was 1.8 pounds and 12.2 inches long 
Valerie was born at 11:05 thru c section and was 1.9 pounds at 11.8 inches long , both are in nicu and are stable!

I'm sure you're on bed rest at the moment and I sure hope they hang on in there for a while. When they are born (however it happens) they will immediately be taken to the recussitation area. Some babies come out crying and pink while some need help from the get go. They will stabilize them by making sure they are breathing and have a good heart rate. They will have a breathing tube or possibly be on a cannula cpap. If they're real young, they will both get a breathing tube to be given surfactant in their lungs. It helps them mature. Likely, they will place an arterial and venous line in their vein and artery in the umbilical cord (don't worry, they have no nerves in the cord-it won't hurt). They will take them to the unit where they will continue to monitor all of their vitals and get blood gases in order to guide their respiratory care. Are you inpatient on bedrest?
