38w 3D and contractions

I am having terrible contractions. They started last night and continued into the morning. My husband I went to the hospital to be safe. This is our first and we have no clue what to expect. I am dilated to a 2 but did not progress in the hour that they kept me and monitored me. My contractions slowed way down all day and I could get caught up on some sleep but now it's right back at it again and soooo painful. I'm doubled over in pain when contractions come and trying to keep track of time. They're not super close together yet. Anyone else miserable like this?! I can't even leave my house.
