Ever since I became pregnant my co manager for the adult foster care I work for hasnt been including me in anything fun, and kind of avoids me somewhat. We were close before I found out..now she has become really good friends with a subordinate (which I think is extremely unprofessional), and its like I've gotten replaced. I'm kinda emotional right now and admit I can be a bitch, but I try to suppress that when I'm at work. I try really hard not to be mean. Am I just overreacting or being over sensitive? It's gotten really lonely at work...I might be moody but I'm still human... :-\

Has she been ttc? A lot of women feel resentful of pregnant women if they are having trouble conceiving.

Out of all of my family and and friends I am the only one who is not pregnant or has any kids, so I can't know what you're going through on that end. But I do know a lot about being around pregnant people. I use to ask my friends if they wanted to do stuff, or hang out, and it was always the same. They would say "no, because I'm pregnant". It was like they thought they were all of a sudden better then me because they were pregnant. It got very lonely. Now in my experience, "pregnant women" tend to get really annoying. Not moody, or sensitive, but annoying. Everything is always about, "because I'm pregnant." "I can't do that, because I'm pregnant." "I can't go there, or eat that, because I'm pregnant." Now don't get me wrong I love kids and diffenitatly want some of my own. So I try to be understanding that they are just excited. But maybe your friend is feeling the same way? I would try talking to her about it. Let her know that you can still do fun stuff. I hope this helps.
