How do you feel about your SO telling "small" lies?

My boyfriend lied to me about where he was. Not exactly a "small lie" but I thought he was home all night. He told me this morning he was on his way from home but then said he doesn't wanna lie to me and told me he stayed at his friends last night. He said he lied because I would have gone 'moody' with him all night. (I don't like his friends). Is this something to leave over? I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant also and obviously don't want to break up but these little lies are what I hate because they can turn into bigger lies. I just don't know what to do. What would you do in my situation?

I would talk to him about it- small lies can lead to bigger ones and a relationship is based on trust. He might not have liked your reaction but that is not an excuse to not tell you. You will have to find a middle way- maybe try telling him you will also try not to react too much next time he goes there? But definitely try to encourage openness to keep the trust alive.

In my opinion saying you slept one place at night when you really slept in another is a big lie. I wouldn't say leave but definitely keep your eye on him and let him know he should have just told you.

Install a tracking app on his phone!  I did mainly so I know when he will be home for dinner.  Also comes in handy when his car breaks down and I need to pick him up.  (Never buy a Mercedes)

I can't stand a liar!!! I treat people the way I want to be treated and a lie is still a lie no matter how big or small one may think it is. You should definitely have a talk with him.

A relation is based upon trust. And this means sometimes you have to admit you bought/did/did not do something which your partner doesn't like hearing. My partner never EVER lies to me. And I never EVER lie to him. We both believe very much that lying is a despicable thing to do morally. 
What you should do is not up to me or others to tell you. If he is used of telling lies it won't get better. Lying is a very difficult personality disorder to get rid off… you should figure out for yourself if you can live with it or not

Lies start small. 
My now husband tried this with. We have two kids already (he was a package deal).

I told him he doesn't get to do certain things when he has kids waiting on him at home. I honesty started to wonder how many other times he lied about "being at work" (he was at a bar. I have very personal feeling towards alcochol use at any amount and driving). He told me he never lied to me and he had no clue why he lied that time. I told him flat out "I don't believe you now. You need to tell me if you want to be single. You keep acting like there aren't people waiting for you at home. Tell me and I'll leave" he knew I was dead serious.

As I grew up with a father never coming becuase he was drunk or whatever not something I'd be willing to put up with nor put my kids threw. It took a while for me to believe him again. But our family has been worth it all. Sometimes it takes a dastric measure for them to understand where you're coming from.
