are cloth diapers worth it??

I've been reading about cloth diapering and it's peaked my interest. It sounds like a much cheaper and eco-friendly option than disposable diapers. But the major hang up I have is how much time it take to wash them. It sounds like it would take so much time out of my day to get them through the laundry. What do you ladies think - is cloth diapering worth your time?

We've been using cloth exclusively for a year now and I absolutely love it. For one, as long as you have the diaper on correctly, you shouldn't have any blowouts😉 I've had 1 single blowout during this entire time. ONE. And that was due to me putting it on wrong.

Also, my water bill has gone up only $2. I use the same detergent as my clothes (tide original powder). It's literally just one extra load of laundry a week. That's is. I wash every 3-4days. Mostly every 4. As for carrying around a dirty diaper.. You don't smell it. I promise lol. You put them in a bag called a wetbag. It's pul lined bag with a zipper. You change baby's butt and toss the dirty diaper in the wet bag and put a new diaper on. I've even used grocery bags for times I forgot the wet bag. Again, no smell. It's literally so easy. It's really not that bad as others make it out to be. My fiance even loves it and is constantly talking about them to his friends at work. So much so, he got two of them doing cloth too!

We will never not cloth. 😍❤️

Eco friendly until you consider how much water you waste washing them. And you get to carry them all home in your bag every time baby has a blowout when you're out and about. Someone else can do cloth diapering but it will not be me, ma'am. Lol

My sister did it, it was disgusting and suuuuper time consuming. Ill be using disposables for sure lol

I used cloth diapers with my son and plan to with this baby as well. I absolutely loved it. Disposable diapers actually say on the box that you need to dump all poop in the toilet before throwing away but no one does that. I feel better knowing that I'm not contributing to that for the most part. I say for the most part because we did and will use disposables sometimes for convenience. Long road trips, long outings, etc. but day to day, cloth diapers all the way. I washed them every 3 days and never had any issues with my sons room stinking or anything like that. I stored them in a wet bag. Just threw all the diapers and the bag in the washer with tide every 3 days ;) super easy. Diaper laundry is the only laundry I enjoy!

I like them. I think they are much more gentle on my baby's skin. I mean she's only a few days old so idk if I'll eventually get tired of it or not but I have to do laundry anyway so a few diapers thrown in the wash won't really change that.
