Fever?

8 weeks tomorrow. Baby has a temp of 99.8! Highest temp she's ever had in her life. Has been pretty fussy. 100.4 is hospital trip right? Should I be concerned at 99.8? Ftm HELP

"normal" temp range for this age is anything between 97-100.3. If your baby is breastfeeding they should not have a fever under 3 months due to a virus (the Dr will not consider any below that 100.3 mark to be a fever). If your baby crosses that mark, you need to take them in because the cause of the fever could be an infection. Babies at this age still have a hard time totally regulating their body temp, that's why they have such a normal "range" instead of the standard 98.6

My 8 week old had a temp of 99.9 on Saturday and ended up having an ear infection 😢 I'd call the doc just to be safe

It is in the normal range, but the high end of normal. If you're concerned, get it checked!

Just take it again in an hour and call your doctor if it keeps going up
