Help please I'm new to this

I'm new to this whole thing and I need help. I need some advice. So my husband and I are trying to get pregnant but we have not had any luck( I think) yet. Last month my period was late. I usually get my period sometime on the 15th or the 20th-25th sometime in that time period. I got my period on November 30th but it wasn't normal. The first day I just spotted a little bit the second day it was light and it was a light red and then the third day I spotted again and then it stopped. This month I got my period early. I started on December 11th but again it's not normal it's light. I took a pregnancy test on November 30th and it came out negative. At this point I'm not sure if it's normal or maybe I should take another pregnancy test.  I'm confused and I really need some advice please if someone may help me I would really appreciate it.
