Cloth Diapers?

Question

Has anyone used them? Pros/cons? 
I'm debating on using them for at least the first 6 months. Until baby starts eating solid food. Any input would be awesome!

I cloth diaper and LOVE it! 
The main pros for me were: 
Cheaper
Not adding to landfills unecessarily
No chemicals on baby's bum
Easier transition to potty training
No poop blow outs ( at least I haven't had any yet but have with disposables..)

I don't really have any cons for them except if you're traveling it just isn't really feasible to bring a whole bunch of CD if you're not going to be near a washing machine.

My son is 10 months old now and outside of the first month (didn't want to buy special newborn sized diaps) and a couple times we traveled we've used them this whole time. He eats solid food now and it's honestly still not that hard or disgusting to clean them. I soak the poopy ones then spray off and wash twice. I got a few different brands to try out and ended up loving the bumgenius freetimes and bulked up my stash with those. They do have services where you can try a bunch of different kinds and send back the ones you don't like. They are amazing. Seriously saves so much money it's awesome! They aren't really that messy and I have never had a blowout or had to change an outfit because of leaking or anything. And they have such cute prints :)

I am excited to try cloth,I will be a stay at home mom so this sounds so much more convenient for my hard working honey and the pocket book.

I cloth diaper and seriously the only tiny con I have is that she doesn't like the feel of the wet nappy liner when she pees and wants me to change her immediately. For that reason I use a disposable during the night. Otherwise I can't really give any cons. It is working really well for us.

I cloth diapered my oldest when he was a baby, and I did it for a little while with my toddler. I loved cloth diapering. 
I never had any crazy poop blowouts to deal with. Occasionally, I had leakage issues but it was related to something I did wrong (not stuffing overnight diapers correctly, etc). 
The extra laundry was really not as bad as people would have you think. I would get a sprayer to make cleaning the poop diapers easier. You can find them online, they attach to the toilet. 
I avoided using cloth diapers for the first few days of life because the meconium can be hard to clean.

There are so many different options out there for cloth diapering and some fantastic blogs that really dive in to explain the differences and help educate you to make the best choices for your family.

So do you guys have any idea of how many would be needed for a new baby? I'd like to get a cost savings idea for once I am preggo then I can show hubby bc he's already stressing about money.

He acts like "if we can't afford diapers we shouldn't have kids." Thats not the case he's kinda dramatic lol. That's not the point it's like if you can save 4000 for the 2.5 years your baby is wearing diapers it's money that will def be needed elsewhere.

Also, not sure if we will need to do daycare or what but I'm assuming none of you are going to do that since day cares don't allow cloth diapers. I was saying to hubby that we could just do cloth outside of daycare if we had to put our kid in it. Really don't want to but we shall see what happens down the road.

Also wondering how to get an unrealistic hubs on board w/ them? Seems like the cost will save us so much money in the long run.

I've used them with me niece and some friends' babies. Love cloth diapering and plan to do so with my baby for as long as possible.

Much cheaper then disposable but you have to wash laundry quite often
