Much of post-modern thought that has infected Christianity seeks to sound meaningful when it is actually illogical & unBiblical. Many try to claim that some of the moral statements given in the Bible are not applicable today because the culture has changed, but God has not, so what He has demanded of His church still stands.
The Bible (the original manuscripts) is inerrant & infallible. Most Bible translations on the market today are fully reliable. You can trust what God has said to us. Do not listen to those who twist His words to say something it does not say. Be intelligent & compare every word of a Bible teacher/preacher to what the Bible really says.
