Bladder Infection

I started getting some uncomfortable cramps here and there Monday afternoon. I chalked it up to Braxton Hicks contractions and round ligament pain and just dealt with it. It continued on into Tuesday and was becoming a bit painful, even woke me up that night. I called my doctor this morning-Wednesday- and explained what's been going on. He said to come in immediately because they wanted to check that I wasn't going into preterm labor. I'm only 22 weeks and 5 days so of course this gave me the largest anxiety attack. By the time we'd gotten to the doctor I had actually spiked a fever and the cramps were so intense and very close together.  The only thing I knew to compare it to were really awful period cramps. It was very very scary. They put me on a monitor to check if I was actually contracting. Turns out I just have a pretty mean little bladder infection. My doctor said it was pretty common to feel this way though with the infection because it irritates your uterus which causes extra cramping. Just so glad little Luca is alright! One week of antibiotics and I pray I'll feel just fine again.
