I GOT ENGAGED!! But,, people question if it's an engagement ring when I show them.
I just got engaged! It's not a traditional ring. My favorite gem is an Opal. My boyfriend picked it out on his own and knew of my favorite gem (I almost named my horse opal until I realized it's a horrible name lol). The center stone is a real opal with two diamonds on the sides and a white gold band. 
We are expecting our first baby and buying a house. We don't have much money at all right now.
But I think he went above and beyond, and did a WONDERFUL job picking this ring out. I absolutely love it. It fits me and my style perfectly. But when I show people (in the way to announce) they ask, is it an engagement ring? Even though it's on my left ring finger. I kind of take it as an insult. What is so wrong with not having huge diamonds? Why does it not make it any less of an engagement ring? It has definitely put a damper on showing/announcing. 😕😔
