I don't have anyone else to share this with since I don't personally know anyone that is breastfeeding. My mom and husband are so supportive and are excited for me but again they don't truly understand (my mom never breastfed).

Anyway, my son, who will be 9 weeks tomorrow, has only been able to nurse with a nipple shield since birth. For some reason he just couldn't get or stay latched. I've been slowly taking the shield away just to see how he would do. I'm beyond excited to say that we have not had to use it at all today!

I wanted to share it on here for 2 reasons. 1. I'm so excited I could cry and just wanted to shout it from the roof top. 2. So other mamas that are having difficulties with nursing know that your hard work and perseverance can pay off so don't give up! And don't be afraid to ask for help!!
