My s/o really likes anal, but I don't. He keeps trying, and I don't mind it sometimes, but for the most part it's just extremely uncomfortable and I can't seem to get past it. Advice?

Make sure you're really turned on.  I have tried almost every lube under the sun and the best one by far is coconut oil (I just keep some in a jar and put the jar in hot water beforehand to melt it into a liquid state). I find missionary position the most comfortable because of the angle. My SO has a rather above average penis, which means we just go really slow. When he first starts, tell yourself to relax and focus really hard on relaxing all the muscles in that area.  Put a towel under yourself if you're worried about anything. If it's painful, definitely stop, because it's not that hard to cause tearing in that area, and that can lead to infection.  If you feel comfortable with it, touch yourself while he's at it, or have him do it.

Ultimately if you really hate it, don't do it. You shouldn't have to endure anything you really dislike just for your partner.

If you really don't like it you don't have to do it, r doesn't matter how much he may like it. Or since you're saying it's okay sometimes, it's okay for you to be the one deciding when and how often it happens. That's usually how it is with anal, personally I enjoy it, but there have still been lots of times when I've had to say it's not a good night.
