two strollers- one baby?!

Question

Are jogging strollers really more heavy duty than regular strollers?

We bought a nice travel system but we are thinking that if we go to the park or fishing, the stroller won't make it through the hiking and rocky parts of the parks/fishing parks. We go pretty much every weekend to either the park or fishing so we would use it constantly.

We are thinking about also getting a jogging stroller for those types of trips. Can you recommend any? We like that they have real wheels and not plastic ones.

I picked a travel system that comes w/ a jogging stroller because my sister ended up buying a jogging stroller when my niece was about 7-8 months old & now she's 5 & they still use it. It's SO much easier to take than the other stroller. Not only does it do awesome on walks through the park or fishing, but even if you're using it at the mall, it's so much easier to maneuver. I'm a ftm, but I would strongly recommend the jogging stroller!

I plan on getting a BOB with baby number 2 because the stroller I had almost topped once when I was running and it was terrifying.

I got a hand me down jogger from a cousin. I loved pushing her son in it at the time.

We got a travel system and a jogger. My husband and I are runners and do the trails. U can tell jogger wheels are much more sterdy with the wheels. If ur worried see if a friend has 1 u can maybe borrow before u invest?

I got the Chicco Activ3 and love it. We live out in the country so we need it just to go on walks bc our roads are so bumpy. I don't like using it at malls or other places like that bc it's bigger and bulkier, and the basket underneath is smaller. I ended up buying a regular used stroller on Craigslist for when I want to go to the mall or somewhere. (Which is not often for me.) 
If you do buy a jogging stroller, get one with wheels that won't go flat. My sister bought a Baby Trend jogging stroller and the wheels are always going flat. It's a pain if you don't notice it until you're out and using it. And it's a pain to have to always mess with airing up the tires before using it.

I have a 2016 BOB revolution pro and I love it so far. Baby girl is only 2 1/2 weeks old and slept thru those bumpy terrains on our walk the other day. I also have a baby carrier for when I go to the grocery store and I just purchased a snap and go stroller for errands.
