What should I buy?

Question

I am attending a birthday party for a one year old little girl tomorrow. Her Daddy is mixed(AA&Caucasian) and her mother is Caucasian. She is a beautiful child and her skin is darker like her daddy's skin. 
My first thought was to buy her a baby doll until I shopped for one and realized none of them favored her skin tone. They are too light or too dark. I'm not sure what to do now. I don't feel comfortable asking the mom which she would prefer. I'll probably stay on the safe side and not buy her a doll now. 
I hope my question isn't being insensitive or offensive it's not meant that way at all. I'm just looking for advice. Thanks. 😊

My son is 1 next month. You know what 1 year olds do with toys? They throw them and put them in their mouths regardless of what it is. Even trash or ordinary house hold items she wont care what you give her

You shouldn't buy a doll just to match her race. Who cares what color the doll is? Giving mixed race items at a young age teaches them the importance of how we are all the same on the inside.

You could do a puzzle? Not like the crazy 1000 piece ones, but the...like, large 20-some-odd piece floor puzzles? XD My young neices and nephews have loved those.

If not~ ^^ maybe some hair ties or a scarf/cold weather acceseries? ^^ that'd be nice.

It's just a doll. I don't think she's going to care the skin color. She's also one. Obviously the parents wont care as one is mixed, and ones not. I would just get her the cutest doll, regardless of the color. Or a teddy bear, or even a learning toy.

I think either doll would be totally fine. I have nieces and nephews that are mixed and they have many different kinds of dolls.
