Why is it when it comes to this time of year people get so nasty to retail/min wage workers? Seriously over the smallest things too! 
I no longer have any faith in hummanity, hey 2012 end of the world thing. When are you going to get us all?

They're over worked, underpaid, always short staffed and people are assholes to them this time of year.

My mother does this and it pisses me off so much. She has these unrealistic standards for anyone in retail and the food industry. It's embarrassing going out with her sometimes, she'll loudly sigh and roll her eyes. She's never worked a 40 hour work week, she has no idea the pressure anyone in those industries are in. I am nothing but polite because 9 times out of 10 whatever problem has presented itself is not the workers fault.

I lost faith in humanity years go. This time of the year there are always a few rude ones but I worked retail so I am always as pleasant as possible with them. Only once I got irritated (not with the sales person) and that is because a kid kept shoving me while I was trying to pay and nearly knocked over some breakable items.

It's not just this time of the year, I've seen it happen all year round! Total disrespect and rudeness. However, many people who work in retail also have attitude and are disrespectful.

Because people are selfish Jerks and take their stress of xmas shopping out on the people trying to serve 50 people at once while trying to do 20 other things so it looks good and things are easy to find for customers. I wish all shops had a policy of anyone being rude to staff will be banned, people would sharp change when they weren't allowed into any shops!

I'm dreading standing in front of an oven in 40° heat today. Customers are gonna be arses.

I believe that, if a customer should take their anger out on anyone, take it out on the bosses. They are the ones responsible for underpaying staff and not putting as many people on. Seriously, at Sydney airport on Saturday, there were 3 people checking, like, 200 people.
