My dr told me that I had to wait 2 weeks before having sex after she placed my Skyla. Is that really the case? I'm so scared it's going to move or hurt. Is there any medical reasons why I need to wait or was it just for her precaution?! Helppp.

If you had it inserted during your period, you only need to wait 24 hours.

If you had it inserted at any other time, you only need to wait 7 days.

I got paragard. Dr said to give it a week. And I did. It's been there for 5 months and everything is fine.

I got a paraguard on the 7th of this month. She told me to wait 2 weeks OR use back up birth control. I waited a week 😂

My dr told me I could the day after, I think it's all on you. If you try and it hurts then stop. But I did the day after and didn't have any problems. Actually subsided the cramping for a bit. 😌
