When did you install the carseat?

I dont know if i should do it now or not (38+2) just incase we get into an accident between now and when bub is born. I dont want to have to throw the seat out, but i dont want to risk not being able to get it installed because the company ill be going to is shut for xmas

You can install the base and leave it in. It leave the seat out until you are on the way to the hospital.

We just decided that we will instal the base at about 36 weeks and leave the actual car seat with my hospital bag to grab when it's time.

We're installing ours a month or so early. Our dogs travel with us a bit and we want to get them used to baby things to prepare for the babies.

We had it installed until our 70 lb fur child decided she's the baby and crawled in it, it has to be reinstalled

I recommend before. Of baby comes early and you aren't prepared it's just one more thing to deal with while in hospital.

We put the base in and if we happened to have baby without the seats in the car my husband would go hom before we left to pick up the seats. That way they also aren't getting too hot or cold.
