Do you make your own baby food or you use the baby food cans?

I started feeding my son solids two weeks ago. Today, My MIL saw some baby food jars in my kitchen and she went crazy, she was asking to get rid of them immediately and I exclusively have to cook for my 6 months baby. 😩😩😩

I make his food. It's cheaper and I just prefer to give him homemade food. But I don't judge people who use baby food. Your MIL can help make it if she is so passionate about it.

I'm not sure the proper "instead and outs" of babies on solids... But I don't plan to do either. I'll still be breastfeeding and we will be slowly introducing bits of whatever we are eating. Even if I have to blend it. I don't see the point of feeding baby jar mush and I'm not making food JUST for my baby when we are already eating as well. I feel like "baby food" is just another made up market. My sister has been doing it this way with her 9 month old and I plan to do the same.

Hey hun dont matter honestly its all pureed and healthy for your baby i did both and my daughter is 100% healthy, i would get the fruits for during the days and custards for night time for after her dinner but i would do her own vegetables some nights and some dinner puree in the cans for her depends xx do what you feel is best and dont let anyone else tell you different

Fed my first baby gerber jars, made my own purees for 2nd baby and will again for this baby. I felt homemade ishealthier but definitely nothing wrong with gerber jars.

We just fed my daughter what we were eating (within reason). Like give her a bite of mashed potatoes or soft banana or whatever. She's now two and eats like a champ. She'll try anything and likes most things. But either way, it's nothing to stress over. As long as your baby is being fed, who cares how you do it?
