do you burp your baby after every feeding?

Just curious if you burp your baby after every feeding or not? It's 1:22am and I just fed my 3 month old. She fell right back to sleep, so I chose not to wake her up to burp her. What would you have done?

I don't in the night, if she's asleep and not fussing then i leave her.

If my little girl falls into a really sound sleep after a feeding, I don't. I was always told to never wake a sleeping baby regardless of what needs to be done. Did that once and quickly realized why it's such a popular phrase lol

I express breast feed and i almost never burp my little guy, he doesn't have any issues but i keep him upright most of the day. At night i read they eat slower so you dont need to buro them as much? I dont know if that's true but i dont burp him at night at all and its never been an issue. I try not to even take him out of his bed to reduce how awake he is

My baby just fell to sleep during the 5 am feeding as well. I just put her upright and pat get slightly to get her burp out. She is so milk drink that she doesn't wake up from it at all. It depends on your baby. Mine can't sleep well without the burp. If I don't do it, she would probably wake up in 10-20 min from discomfort.

I will usually just put him down after the second side if he's asleep but sometimes I lift him up so his head is on my shoulder and gently pat. That helps him burp and he usually stays asleep in that position.

Not everytime, especially if I breastfed, bc they don't always need one, since escaped air is a rare thing when feeding that way.

I always try to burp her but if she's asleep, 9 times out of 10 it doesn't wake her up and I don't get a burp so I give up and just snuggle her for a bit so she's upright for a little longer before I put her down

If she falls asleep after a feeding then no. If she didn't drink that much milk then it's also a no. We were also told that if she farts after or during that we're good.

My son never burps he only farts so I gave up on burping and my parents act like I'm the worst parent in the world because of it
