So my mother in law has never really been a super great mom or even person to be around, but she can actually be really likeable on occasion. She was a total bitch to both me and my husband when we got pregnant with our daughter 5 years ago. She refused to be a part of anything and wouldn't even look at a sonogram. Then when we found out the sex she was all buddy buddy. Fast forward and she's missed her only grandchild's 1st birthday to attend a Nascar race and never visits. Blows off family for the casino. Ignores our calls and actually gets pissed at US when we basically give up trying to include her in our lives. She blew off my baby shower last week to go to the casino and didn't respond when I texted her to ask if she was still coming. Today I get a text from her that says, "My back is killing me today, are you in labor?"

I so badly wanted to be a smart ass and say something like, why do you care? Or, If I was, would you even come to the hospital?

But I just ignored it. Ugh that woman pisses me off!
