Has anyone heard of antibiotics lowering sperm count in males?

Answer

Nope. But fever can. My hubby was really sick over he summer (they thought he had mumps). We went to have an IUI in September and it was cancelled because his count was only 1 million! (Usually it's around 200 million!).  First thing the RE asked was if he had been sick in the past 1-3 weeks. Sperm regenerate every 70-80 days so we had to wait that long for his counts to come back up. He went for a repeat semen analysis 60 days later and his counts were right back up. I had no idea that could happen until I started researching.
