first check ?

Ladies, when u usually go for the first check ? I got my positive stick yesterday and it was on my CD 40... Now I'm on day 41, I checked on the Internet and it says you should get the first medical check in week 8/9, which means still 3-4 weeks to go... I wonder if it's true? I'm getting over excited and a bit nervous for this. Should I wait till week 8 or should I go see my doc ASAP ? Thanks ladies for the comments!!
