How Early Did You Got To The Dr?

Question

I found out I'm pregnant yesterday. Today would mark exactly 4 weeks (I tested early). From what I hear most women go to the dr between 8 weeks and 12 weeks. Because of a career transition I temporarily lost insurance. My coverage will "restart" when I'm 11 weeks. Is it safe to wait until then (assuming I don't have any concerns)?

Background: 
This is my first pregnancy.
I haven't had any symptoms besides side pain when laid down last night. 
My shoulders are sore but I have arthritis.

i found out i was pregnant at 12 weeks and went to the doctors at 13 weeks and baby was healthy. You should be fine

Idk where you live. But out here they have insurance for pregnant ladies and mommas.

I would wait till 12 weeks. They don't really do anything earlier then that anyways.

My doc doesn't see patients till 12w, that being said I would find somewhere that will take your new insurance and get an appointment booked so you can get in then....

I think you'll be fine waiting til 11 weeks. I went to my primary doctor at 5 weeks and they referred me to the OBGYN and they won't see me til I'm atleast 8 weeks like you have stated. I'll be 9 weeks by the time my appointment comes up so I think you'll be fine to wait. The only problem is are you patient enough to wait til 11 weeks lol cause I can barely stand to wait til Jan 10th for my first appointment.

I thought I was 8 weeks and ended up being 11weeks and they never mentioned it being a big deal.

My dr asked me to get labs drawn right after I called to tell them I was pregnant and I went for an ultrasound at 6 weeks because this was an IUI pregnancy and my hormones indicated there may have been multiples.

I'm sure if you explain your situation, they will work with you or let you know of any resources you can use until your coverage starts up again.
