Where does your baby sleep?

Just curious how when of you have moved your October babies to their own bedrooms?! If so, from the start? Or at what age?

Daughter went into own room at 6 weeks old. She was too long for her moses basket (bassinet) and we aren't blessed with enough space to have the cot in our bedroom. My health visitor said this was fine as long as the same principles of no loose covers etc were followed. Each to their own I say, you'll know when you're ready or when your baby is. Yes, all the 'guidlines' state rooming for up to 1 year old but in many cases it's just not feasible. No one should be judging anyone else's decision. As long as the baby is fed, warm and safe you can't ask for much more.

my LO went to his own room at 5 week and he's now 8 weeks old

LO sleeps in a Co sleeper attached to our bed. It's amazing, I don't have to get out of bed at night! Just reach over to change him then nurse then put him back in his area.

I've been told by many health professionals also to wait til 6 months before moving him out of our bedroom. The nursery is right beside our room, and I'm thinking I will probably move him sooner.

His room from day 4. He knows the routine now which at 10 weeks matters. When he gets fussy at bedtime and nap time we put him in room and he knows it's time to get calm. Plus we sleep better. You hear everything with a monitor anyway..

Uggghh I'm so confused with what to do with this! My LO is still in the bassinet by my bed but he's quickly getting too big for it so I feel like I'll have to put him in the crib at night soon ( he already naps in there during the day) the part I struggle with is that sometimes at night he'll wake and cry then I'll put the passifier in his mouth and he goes back to sleep. I'm having a hard time imagining that will work the same way when he's in his own room.... like I'll have to get up and walk to the room just to put the pacifier in and go back. I know this sounds like I'm complaining but I'm not in just trying to figure out logistically what other Mom as do?!? Would love to hear what solutions others have found!!

You do what you've got to do. No judging here. Just be safe about it. My son wakes up every 45 minutes in his bassinet. We tried to tough it out, but after a few days of feeling beyond fatiguevand crying from exhaustion, we put him in the bed and he slept 5 hours! Ideally we'd like to have him in the bassinet, but for now, he's sleeping, im sleeping and I dont feel at my wits end!

My two month old went from her bassinet BY my bed to sleeping IN my bed 😬 cosleeping makes me very nervous and I don't sleep much, but it's the only way she'll sleep. If I'm not holding her she won't sleep. Colic is seriously the devil.

I unfortunately moved back in with my mother when I was 18 weeks pregnant, so my daughter is in her cot in my room. But when I get my own home or if I still had my own home, I would of probably tried putting her in her own room from when she started sleeping through the night and see how it went 😊

Baby will be 10 weeks on Thursday and is still in the moses basket next to my side of bed. We are blessed to have just enough room for the cot bed which she'll be in in no time given the size of her! Think it was around the 6 month mark our first born went into her own room. We were going to move her at 4 months but hubby couldn't bring himself to do it. The softy. Looking forward to her being in the cot bed as it only fits on hubby's side of the bed! 😄
