positive strep B test ?

Did anybody else receive a positive strep B test ? I'm freaking out now . Very worried

I tested positive and was given antibiotics for one week, I will also  be given antibiotics during labour, don't think it's really anything to worry about , it's only an issue if they dont discover it until baby is born

Don't be worried. They just have to give you antibiotics when you go into labor. I wouldn't worry at all :)

It's not at all uncommon and from what I understand, everyone has it in their body. The doula who taught the birthing classes I went to also said that even without the antibiotics, it is a VERY SMALL chance that your baby will get sick from it. Don't worry too much about it.

I did I freaked out but then my dr explained that  I'll just have to be on antibiotics during labor and everything will be fine. Don't read google! Worst thing I could've done. I'm allergic to penicillin so they'll just use something different for me but they said it is common and nothing to worry about

I did with my first. It wasn't a big deal. I just was given antibiotics at birth.

Yes !! Gust found out I'm positive gust means you'll have antibiotics as soon as u go into labor chances are one and 200 babies will be affected so I wouldn't worry about it this is my second pregnancy didn't have it with my son and now I have it with my daughter due Jan 11th I'm 37weeks and 1cm dialated and loosing my mucous plug!

Yup! Just got the news that I have it. Honestly not too worried as my doctor put me at ease. If you are on the IV every 4 hours during labor, your chances of the baby getting sick is less than 6%. Don't stress!

My test came out positive and i have to take antibiotics for a week i was scared at first but my doctor told be its nothing bad or severe

It's pretty common. Just antibiotics and you should be good

My main concern is getting to the hospital to have enough time for the antibiotics to kick in my mom said she made it to the hospital and delivered me and my siblings less than an hour later ! Is that even enough time for the antibiotics to kick in and do their job ? !
