Breast pump through insurance?

Hello guys, so I am currently in Maryland but I'm returning to NY to give birth to my baby girl, I have insurance (medicaid) in NY. I was wondering even though I'm physically in Maryland rn can I get a breast pump through insurance? Or will I have to return before looking into that?

I have medicaid in IL my nurse that was assigned to my case said she would ship it to whatever address I wanted since we were just about to move at that time. They have to cover it by law however mine took 2 months for her to order and ship. Call and get it ordered, I don't think it should be a problem.

New York Medicaid typically doesn't work in other states for any kind of coverage. I work in health care in NY.

Have your doctor make the recommendation and if you have wic or plan on going to wic let them know you need a pump.

I don't think Medicaid covers pumps.. but I'd check with your delivery hospital sometimes they offer free manual pump to take home
