From dilating to delivery - how long?

From the moment your doctor told you you started dilating, how long did it take before you delivered your baby? When my mom was pregnant with me she went from 1cm to 10cm withing 24 hrs, but I've also heard that it might take weeks.

I'm dilated 4cm and still pregnant. I'm starting to think I'll be pregnant for the rest of my life lol

Second baby - 3 hours

I'm of no help. I don't do cervical checks. It really doesn't mean anything. Literally, nothing. You can go from 0 to 10 in a couple hours, you can walk around for weeks at a 3. Every woman is different.

I start dilating around 34-35 weeks and birthed my first at just under 39 and my secons at 37.5 in usually a stretchy 4 cm a few days before labour

I was 3cm at 35 weeks, 3.5 at 37 weeks and now I'm 4cm at 38 weeks... no baby yet but I'm doctor thinks it'll be any day.

I never dilated. I was induced with cervidil at 41w1d.

I was 1 cm and 50% effaced at 36 weeks when the dr checked for the first time. That increased up to 3cm and 60% at 40 weeks.  I delivered 10 days overdue, at 41+3 after being induced.

My mom was at 4cm for a month with all of her babies before she finally just got induced

My Dr never checked me at my appts. The day I gave birth my water broke at 5am at home.  Got to the hospital at 644am was 2cm, labored at the hospital,  my daughter was burn at 114pm that same day.
