Who eats first?

Just saw this question on instagram and wanted to know what yall thought? My personal thought is children then adults. My dad's ex-fiancee always served him before her daughter and I and same to this day with my mom and stepdad. My bf and I went to his families house for Thanksgiving and they have the children dish up first, then the women, and men last. I definitely wasn't used to that but I liked that the children were fed first. What are your thoughts?

I always get my daughter food before myself or my husband.

In family events, we all go to my grandma's house. The youngest go first, then whoever else is in line, then "the chef" so my grandma goes last. It bothers me because she's the one that makes all the food, and there's not a lot left for her, but she's always content with her desicion. It's a fight if we try to convince her to go ahead of us or somewhere in the line besides last lol

I plate them all at the same time, but hand my children their plates first, along with drinks, my husband his plate and drink, and then myself.

Dinner is already set on the table as he is getting home. When we have kids it will be the same way.

Depends on the context. When it's just my immediate family the children eat first, but when it's a big family meal or gathering the elders always go first.

I make the kids plates first because it usually has to cool off for a minute. Then make husbands plate and serve him, by the time that's done the kids plates are cool enough for them to eat without complaining. Then i make mine.

I either plate everything all at once, or do myself last. When I have kids I'll probably do theirs first. At thanksgiving I put all the food out and say go for it. So no particular order.

I figure if I can be up and cooking, hubby can at least make his own plate. We do agree if when the kid eats normal food then they will have a plate first then ours

I cook, make my plate and my sons plate, and my husband paces behind me until I move, and then he makes his own plate.
